The Franklin Park Volunteer Fire Company stopped by Be at Home Child Care during their Halloween parade for a fun “Touch a Truck” event!

Kids got an up-close look at Engine 2 and had the chance to meet and chat with real firefighters about how they help keep our community safe.

Members of the Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) visited our station to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. They tied rakhis, or protection wristbands, to our firefighters as a symbol of gratitude and prayers for their safety. Franklin Park Volunteer Fire Company bids farewell to Rescue 5 which served the residents since 2001, the truck was purchased by a towing and recovery company in Albany NY. Over the years it had responed to many emergency calls, it has been replaced by a 2024 Sutphen rescue/engine combination.... (Full Story & Photos)
