The Franklin Park Fire Station, 158, hosted neighbors from the Hindus community to observe Rakṣā Bandhana (pronounced ruck-SHAH bund-HUN)  – loosely translated as the “Protection Connection”. It's a opportunity to give thanks to the Firemen, Police and First Responders. The men and women who protect our community we live in.

Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh (HSS) celebrates this occasion as “Universal Oneness Day,” broadening its scope from the family to the community with the simple idea that we should all love and protect each other. At a societal level to reaffirm our social and civic responsibilities to support and protect the community that we are part of.
