Everyone enjoys a holiday celebration, and this year changes in Pennsylvania law allows Pennsylvania residents to buy, possess and use consumer grade fireworks. This however is not without restrictions. Please become familiar with the restrictions below to avoid injuries or structure fires. If you witness the prohibited use of fireworks as listed below, please call the Police to report it. Possession and Use of Consumer Fireworks in brief: Section 2404. The fireworks law Act 43 of 2017 Conditions. – A person who is at least 18 years of age and meets the requirements of this article may purchase, possess and use consumer fireworks. Prohibitions. —A person may not intentionally ignite or discharge: NOTE: The act defines an “occupied structure” as a structure, vehicle or place adapted for overnight accommodations of persons or for conducting business weather or not a person is actually present. |
